National Holiday Inspires Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers’ Employees to Labor for a Good Cause

Labor Day for Las Vegas residents is a day known for relaxing and the un-official end to summer. While friends and family gather to celebrate, employees at Raising Cane’s Chick Fingers will be hard at work for a good cause. On Monday, September 6, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will donate 100 percent of its profits from all five locations to Opportunity Village, Las Vegas’ favorite not-for profit organization.

“Labor Day is about taking the time to celebrate,” said Justin Micatrotto, partner and vice president of marketing for the Micatrotto Restaurant Group, a Raising Cane’s franchise. “Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is an organization that is dedicated to putting people to work. During these difficult economic times, many people are out of a job. Our goal is to employ the best people and help out the Las Vegas community any way we can.”

The decision to donate all of the profits on September 6 to Opportunity Village was because there is a tremendous amount of synergy between both organizations. Both Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and Opportunity Village seek to help out the Southern Nevada community. Opportunity Village serves people with intellectual disabilities and provides them with vocational training, employment and social recreation services that make their lives more productive and interesting. Additionally, Raising Canes Chick Fingers employs some members from the Opportunity Village team.

“Opportunity Village is an inspiration to all of Southern Nevada,” said Micatrotto. “They are mostly self-funded; and as a business, we admire them for this fact. Opportunity Village is an extraordinary place; they are able to assist people with special needs throughout the valley. We understand the time-consuming efforts of taking care of a special needs person.”

All five Las Vegas Raising Cane’s Chicken Finger locations will be participating in the fundraising efforts. All locations are open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to midnight, with the exception of the location near UNLV which stays open until 1:00 a.m.
