Beginning and ending its 2018-2019 Season with two iconic tales, the Las Vegas premiere of Ben Stevenson’s Dracula and Septime Webre’s Alice (in Wonderland) will offer the best of ballet through the grandest of theatrical elements. With an enhanced performance schedule, both full-length story ballets will captivate audiences with flying, riveting music and colorful characters. Las Vegas’ favorite holiday tradition, The Nutcracker, returns in December with 12 performances over three weekends including Christmas Eve—bringing its acclaimed 40 foot story dollhouse and larger-than-life landscapes to Reynolds Hall once again. February will usher in a premiere line-up of works for the Company including Yuri Possokhov’s scintillating version of the famed ballet, Firebird, George Balanchine’s Raymonda Variations and a World Premiere by powerhouse choreographer Nicolo Fonte.

“We are excited to present a creatively strong season that will not only engage audiences but will enhance our dancers’ artistic achievements,” said Artistic Director Roy Kaiser. “From full-length story ballets to exciting master works including several NBT and Las Vegas premieres, the stage will be filled with heartfelt dancing, spectacular musical scores through live orchestra, and majestic scenic elements.”

NBT’s 47th Season will also include the special, subscriber-only benefit The Studio Series, as well as the celebrated NBT and Cirque du Soleil partnership, A Choreographers’ Showcase. With a range of dance styles performed by a diverse group of artists, this year’s collaboration, entitled Art from Art, will bring a fresh perspective to this ever-popular show.

Full season subscriptions are still available and single tickets for the remainder of the company’s 2018-2019 Season will go on sale at a later date. Visit www.nevadaballet.org for more information.
