Nevada Barbeque Association to host 2nd Annual Ribfest to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada
The Nevada Barbeque Association (NVBBQA) is proud to present the 2nd annual Las Vegas Championship RibFest 2016, taking place again at Bass Pro Shop-Outdoor World on June 4, 2106.

“We are really excited to bring this event back to Bass Pro Shop,” says Steve Overlay, president of the Nevada Barbeque Association. “In addition, we are welcoming a new charity to this years’ event, The Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada. Last year was an amazing turnout for both the competitive roster and from the public. We expect even larger crowds and tougher competition this year as we crown somebody the RIB CHAMPION of Las Vegas.”

This event will open to the public on Saturday morning June 4, at 11:00 AM until after the closing awards at 5:30. Competitors and vendors on site will provide sample ribs (while supplies last) and more BBQ items including rib plates, pulled pork sandwiches and brisket dinners. This is a family friendly event with a Kids Zone, cooking demonstrations and entertainment. Admission and parking are free with sample ticket packages for sale on site. A portion of all ticket and sample sales will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.
“We are very excited to partner with the Nevada Barbeque Association for this great event. It’s family friendly events like this that allow us to get in front of parents and spread the word about what we do at the Clubs,” said Steve Davidson, Chief Operating Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.
Cash prizes for the Best Ribs in Las Vegas is $3000 and trophies to the top winners. Judging will be done by a panel of BBQ judges and we will be having a People’s Choice Award that will be determined by the public.
