Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation Holds 21st Annual “Camp Cartwheel” Summer Camp July 19-22 and July 26-29 in Las Vegas
The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation(NCCF)
will hold its 21st Annual Camp Cartwheel Summer Camp at Torino Ranch for critically ill children and their siblings. The event, created and managed by the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, is a 24-hour, medically supervised, outdoor and overnight camp experience for children diagnosed with cancer, or other life- threatening illnesses.

Camp Cartwheel has hosted more than 2,600 children since its inception in 1996 and celebrates ‘21 Years Of Hope’ this year.

Camp Cartwheel offers critically ill children and their siblings, fun-filled days of swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, canoeing, outdoor games, rock wall climbing and more. It is a time for the children to forget about hospitals, clinics and diseases, to have fun with brothers and sisters and enjoy being a kid again. Camp Cartwheel has grown to two four-day camp sessions to accommodate local children suffering from chronic and critical illnesses.

Children attending Camp Cartwheel are given a cost-free camp experience thanks to generous donations from Brett Torino and local businesses, community leaders, caring individuals and other generous supporters. Camp Cartwheel’s 2017 major sponsors are: the Brett Torino Foundation, PENTA Building Group, Hogs & Heifers Saloon, Dunkin’ Donuts, Terra West Property Management, Southern Highlands Charitable Foundation, McCarthy Building Companies and NPFMA (Nevada Professional Facility Managers Association).

NCCF is a non-profit organization which serves critically ill children of Southern Nevada. The foundation’s missing is to work side by side with the medical community to provide financial, psychological and educational support services and programs to families of all children diagnosed with a life-threatening illness such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, renal, blood, and immunologic diseases, as well as to provide healing arts to adults touched by cancer.
