Nevada SPCA Rescues Animals from Desert Haven Animal Society
The Nevada SPCA today assisted with the rescue of 18 dogs from Desert Haven Animal Society. The Las Vegas no-kill animal sanctuary was alerted to their need and immediate sprung into action dispatching three vans to gather up the animals.
As part of the rescue a mother and her five puppies, and two bonded pairs (including a senior pair), as well as additional dogs, were brought to the sanctuary where they could be evaluated, provided medical treatment (if needed) and given the chance to find forever homes. The NSPCA rescue team will return tomorrow to retrieve cats.
This just comes three weeks after the NSPCA rescued 13 dogs from a shelter in Western Arizona. The NSPCA is fully funded from private donations and grants. For additional information please visit www.nevadaspca.org.
