Ninth Annual "Cadillac Through the Years" Car Show at Town Square Las Vegas April 13
Visitors to the ninth annual Cadillac Through the Years car show at Town Square Las Vegas on April 13, 2014, will get a glimpse into the past and the future of Cadillac

Cars that span the 112-year-history of the brand will be on display as well as the new 2014 electric Cadillac, the ELR, and the 2015 Cadillac Escalade.

The Las Vegas Cadillac LaSalle Club and Findlay Cadillac joined forces to put on the show, which will feature about 75 cars lining the streets of Town Square from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Members of the Cadillac LaSalle Club feel an obligation to preserve and share the grand history of the Cadillac brand,” said Colin Christie, president of the Cadillac LaSalle Club. “The free show provides everyone with a chance to enjoy all these great classic vehicles. Holding the show jointly with Findlay Cadillac gives spectators a sneak peak at the latest Cadillac models.”

A few of the classic cars on display will include a 1949 Coupe De Ville in excellent condition, a 1970 De Ville convertible that just completed a full restoration, a 1979 Cabriolet custom convertible and a 1979 Fleetwood factory limousine all original in excellent condition. Guests can also browse through several older models such as a 1917 Phaeton convertible, a 1938 Series 75 sedan, a 1939 LaSalle coupe, a 1954 Sedan De Ville and many more.

“One of the most interesting aspects of the show is that it takes people on a journey back in time to when vehicles were made of different materials, the engines only had one or two cylinders and the old body frames were made of wood,” Christie said. “It’s fascinating to see the transformation cars went through and are still going through each year. Cadillac was at the forefront of engineering excellence and continues to introduce us to exciting advancements in automobile design.”

A highlight of the show will be the 2014 Cadillac ELR, the first electric luxury car to be released, according to Findlay Cadillac. With a driving range of more than 300 miles, the ELR features lane departure warning, forward collision alert, the safety alert seat, the exclusive Regen on Demand and more. A 2015 Cadillac Escalade will also make its debut in Las Vegas during the show.
