NV Energy Senior Energy Assistance Expo at Cashman Center Aug. 13

The Senior Energy Assistance Expo provides a one stop shop for seniors to access resources and information on financial stability. At this event, seniors may receive energy assistance though Project REACH, make payment arrangements and receive help through a variety of social service programs.

NV Energy funds Project REACH, an energy assistance program administrated by United Way of Southern Nevada. Project REACH helps vulnerable adults who are 62 years of age and older, medically fragile and Reserve and National Guard members who meet program guidelines.

Customers MUST bring a valid Nevada drivers license or state ID, past due NV Energy bill and proof of income. Anyone who has received energy assistance in the previous 12 months is not eligible to receive assistance but can take advantage of other resources offered at the event.

Nonprofit, government agency and other utility representatives will be available to provide energy assistance, discuss weatherization options, provide energy education, conservation and rebate information as well as social services such as food bank, housing, medical and rental assistance.
