More than 30 cancer patients, survivors, family members and friends, as well as generous community volunteers, worked under the expert guidance of the Las Vegas Polymer Clay Guild to create unique gifts of hope for future cancer patients and survivors.

The small glass bottles from NVCI’s treatment center were wrapped with a thin sheet of clay and from there volunteers created their idea of “hope in a bottle.” Chemotherapy bottles were sculpted, painted and ultimately fashioned into imaginative works of art. Volunteers adorned the bottles with flowers, leaves and animals, then added lace and stamps to express their love and support. These bottles are beautiful to behold and inspirational to the soul.

The next Bottles of Hope event will be March 19 at NVCI’s Sunflower Café from 10 am to 2 pm.
