ONE DROP Hosts Fifth Annual Walk for Water Oct. 15

ONE DROP Hosts Fifth Annual Walk For Water Oct. 15
On Saturday, Oct. 15, ONE DROP will join forces with Barrick Gold Corporation to host the fifth annual ONE DROP Walk for Water (Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Cirque du Soleil Senior Vice President Jerry Nadal cut the ribbon, kicking off the fourth annual Walk for Water)

The annual walk will kick off at Symphony Park at The Smith Center and end at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, where participants will enjoy complimentary food and refreshments, live entertainment, raffle prizes and more at a Harvest Festival presented by the venue.

This year, Las Vegas’ very own JayR Beatbox, a talented beatboxer and community activist, will thank participants for their contributions with a special live performance. Joining him will be other guest performers DJ JBray and Prodigy Dance Crew, with additional special guests to be announced at a later date.

This year, ONE DROP will encourage participants to pay tribute to those who suffer from lack of water by carrying weighted buckets during the walk. This challenge will illustrate the strain and difficulty that millions of women and children face each day. The individuals and teams who carry the most weight will be rewarded with exciting raffle prizes to celebrate their achievements.

Interested walkers and teams can register online now. Registration fees are $20 for individual and team walkers and $15 for students and seniors. Participants who register before Oct. 1 will receive a $5 discount off registration fees, totaling $15 for individuals and $10 for students and seniors.
