Pinkbox Doughnuts Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Southwest Location in Las Vegas
Pinkbox Doughnuts welcomed its new location at 9435 W. Tropicana Ave. in Las Vegas yesterday with a ribbon cutting celebration. Judge Harmony Letizia swore in the new location, declaring it as, “Now Open,” while Commissioner Justin Jones welcomed Pinkbox to District F and presented a proclamation announcing the date, September 5th, as ‘Pinkbox Day.’ (Photo credit: Joe Durkin)

The office of Governor Steve Sisolak, the office of Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto, and the office of Assemblyman Steven Yeager presented certificates of recognition for the store’s third location.

Owners Judith Siegel and Stephen Siegel were joined by local 872 Secretary-Treasurer and Business Manager of the Las Vegas Laborers Union, Tommy White, Letizia, Jones, and Jesse Garon, a popular Elvis impersonator, in cutting a large pink ribbon to celebrate the grand opening. The group then indulged in 10-inch Pinkbox branded doughnuts.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to explore the new Pinkbox location, which reveals a playful new design. Guests were seen taking photos inside the “instagrammable” concept, posing near Pinbox’s walls that appear to be dripping in frosting, along with the pink neon sign that says, “EVERY DAY IS A GOOD DAY FOR A DOUGHNUT.” Elvis impersonator arrived at the event with a classic 1955 pink Cadillac, befitting of the occasion.

Throughout the evening, guests such as renowned impersonator, Frank Marino, Commissioner of District E, Tick Segerblom, Captain with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Sasha Larkin, and City of Las Vegas Commissioner of Ward 2, Sigal Chattah, were welcomed into the new space with an array of doughnut samplings, including the Fat Elvis, a chocolate frosted doughnut filled with fresh banana, peanut butter and honey, topped with toasted banana; the Love My PB&J, a jelly filled doughnut topped with creamy peanut butter and a drop of jelly; the Porky, a maple frosted doughnut bar topped with bacon; and Pinky, a vanilla cake topped with pink buttercream, pink frosting and candy décor.

When not snacking on signature Pinkbox doughnuts, guests enjoyed complimentary beverages and performances by DJ Sadako, a seven-year-old DJ, who played 80s hits on vinyl records throughout the event.
Pinkbox has also introduced new merchandise, including crop-top sweatshirts, T-shirts, hats, hooded sweatshirts, customizable stickers and “squishy balls” made in the likeness of PINKY. All merchandise is now available for purchase at pinkboxdoughnuts.com.
