 Project Marilyn Launches in Las Vegas to Provide Feminine Hygiene Product to Homeless Women & Children
Project Marilyn
, a non-profit organization in Southern Nevada, provides monthly feminine hygiene products to homeless women and children in need, launches in Las Vegas. The charity was founded by “Aunt Flo’s Fairy Godmothers,” Wendi Schweigart, whose foundation was in tribute to her Mother and co-founder, Nikki Blake Ferraro (Pictured: Donation from Richard Harris Law Firm).

In the week of the initial kick off, Project Marilyn partnered with both non-profits, Project 150 and Safe Nest, and donated 100 themed bags containing, 1,500 tampons, 500 maxi pads and 500 hygiene wipes.  This continued relationship will help serve their female population.

Additionally, Project Marilyn “popped-up” with The Just One Project, Pop Up and Give, Mobile Food Pantry at Wooley Elementary School and gifted 80+ bags for families and children.

Richard Harris Law Firm, also set up an assembly team of volunteers to assemble more than 200 bags that would help serve the community in need of the products.

On Friday, June 20, Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar also hosted a celebration debuting Project Marilyn to family and friends, sharing its mission, and educating the need. Several donated feminine hygiene products were collected, including monetary gifts by NDL Group Inc., and Veterans Village.
