Rick Harrison Leads Second Annual “Pawn Stars Poker Run” to Benefit Epilepsy Foundation of Nevada October 4
Rick Harrison of HISTORY’S hit reality show “Pawn Stars” will lead the 2nd Annual “Pawn Stars Poker Run” on Sunday, October 4 in Las Vegas to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Nevada (Photo credit: Steven Moyer).
Rick, accompanied by his son Corey, will lead motorcycle riders through Las Vegas starting at 10:00 a.m. at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, 713 S. Las Vegas Blvd., out to the historic Pioneer Saloon in Good Springs, Nev., and the final stop bringing the riders back downtown at 2 p.m. for the Official After-Party and prize raffle at Pawn Plaza, located next to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop.
Grand Prize for best hand is $2,000 and $1,000 will be awarded for the worst hand.
Registration is open now online at www.epilepsy.com/nevada. Early registration is $30 per rider and $20 per passenger.
“I’m still in awe that we raised more than $100,000 last year during our inaugural event and I am grateful to everyone who supports this great cause,” said Rick Harrison. “It’s going to be a great day and I can’t wait to do it again!”
Rick Harrison is an Epilepsy Foundation national board member and spokesperson. Harrison developed epilepsy as a child, living with difficult-to-control seizures which often disrupted his time at school and with friends. While his seizures have now ended, Harrison is dedicated to helping promote the mission of the Epilepsy Foundation and its local chapter in Nevada by bringing attention to the greater need for epilepsy awareness, education and acceleration of new seizure therapies.
“Having Rick’s support not only as a national spokesperson but here in Las Vegas has made a tremendous difference for the Epilepsy Foundation over the last year, especially with the Pawn Stars Poker Run,” said Danielle Marano, executive director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Nevada. “He is not only helping improve the more than 25,000 lives of those living with epilepsy in Nevada, but across the country as well.”
Harrison will once again kick off the Poker Run festivities by signing autographs as part of a partnership with Las Vegas BikeFest. Confirmed days/times to be announced shortly.
