Robert E. Lake Elementary School Students Create Top Three Winning Drawings in Annual Walker Furniture Halloween Pumpkin Drawing Contest
Each year Walker Furniture reaches out to the Clark County School District to have elementary school students enter a pumpkin drawing contest. This year the top three winning drawings were all created by Robert E. Lake Elementary School students in art teacher Ms. Gallimore’s classes (Pictured: Chef Boupha, Ms. Gallimore and Karla Cervante – Photo courtesy Walker Furniture)

At a Chanh Boupha Pumpkin Carving Event held in the Atrium at Walker Furniture on Sunday, Oct. 30, Chef Boupha carved first place winner, third grader Karla Cervante’s drawing with a cat on a 70-pound pumpkin that she got to take home for Halloween along with a $100.

The second place artist was Javier Monroy with a spider in his drawing and third place was Nathan Williams with a lion.

Chef Boupha and his son carved faces on two more giant pumpkins that were won by guests in a drawing. There was also free face painting plus hot dogs and sodas.

In 1994, Walker developed the Home For The Holidays program furnishing hundreds of homes to families in need in the Las Vegas Valley. For more information, visit www.walkerfurniture.com or follow on twitter @walkerfurniture and Facebook.com/walkerfurniture for events, promotions and products.
