, the entertainment-dining hotspot on the Las Vegas Strip, is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a new menu. Focused on playful Japanese favorites with a twist, Sake Rok’s new menu features favorites from the last year as well as a bevy of new dishes, cocktails and specialty vegan options (Pictured: Sata Andagi at Sake Rok)

Created by Executive Chef Joe Mosconi and Executive Sushi Chef Park Sung, the menu includes small plates, sushi and cooked entrees that encourage a social dining experience and give diners the chance to try a wide variety of items.

Highlights from the new menu include the Kamikaze Roll ­ shrimp tempura, jalapeno, avocado, tuna, jalapeno vinaigrette, eel sauce, lime juice and micro cilantro; Rok Ramen ­ chashu pork, noodles, egg, negi, corn and nori; and a myriad of steak options including 8, 12 and 42 oz Australian Wagyu and 6 and 10 oz Japanese A5, all served with black garlic and bacon wrapped enoki.

Accompanying the new menu is Sake Rok’s new vegan menu, which is full of unique twists for tasty dishes for the vegan and non-vegan alike. Menu items include Avocado Toast Crispy Rice ­ crispy sushi rice, avocado, yuzu and micro shiso; Mushroom Tobanyaki ­ maitake, shiitake, oyster, shimeji and porcini mushrooms, Yuzu-Tamari and coconut milk; and Grilled Cauliflower ­ with bok choy, crispy tofu and miso vinaigrette.

New signature sips also are being rolled out. Now diners can enjoy the Godzilla ­ Tito’s Vodka, sparkling sake, fresh lemon, green tea syrup and smoked tableside; The Saint Santo Mezquila, jalapeno simple syrup, fresh lime, pineapple juice and almond syrup; and Ginja Ninja ­ Effen Green Apple Vodka, green apple puree, fresh lemon and ginger beer.

A trip to Sake Rok without a Sake Bomb is simply not complete, but for those looking for a new take on the Sake Bomb, Sake Rok is introducing an entire “Bomb” section of its beverage program. New Bomb options include the One Night Fling ­ a shot of Cazadores Tequila Blanco, Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur and fresh lime, which drops into Kirin Ichiban; Bunny Bomb ­ a shot off Bacardi Dragonberry Rum and Banzai Bunny, which drops into White Peach Sparkling Sake; and TBD ­ a shot of Maker’s Mark and Wondermint, which drops into Tokyo Black Porter.

To finish it off, Sake Rok is adding new desserts to satiate that sweet tooth. Options include the Sumo Honey Toast ­ four-times the size of the regular honey toast and served with mochi; Sata Andagi ­ fresh made Japanese doughnuts; and Japanese Cotton Cheesecake ­ with a berry compote.
