‘Sexy & Dangerous’ Opens at Embassy Theatre at Las Vegas Rocks Café

Performances will highlight extreme variety with death defying juggling moves, acrobatics, dance, gymnastics, celebrity star impressions and special guest balancing act extraordinaire Tino Ferreira. Shows will run Thursday through Sunday. Tickets are $19.95 plus tax, call 702-227-5872 (LVRC).

TV viewers embraced Mario and Jenny when they generated their mighty wallop on Season 4 of “American’s Got Talent,” and this past March, they also appeared on “NASCAR Fast Track To Fame!” Together they have toured China as headliners of the show “Iron Beats,” as well as headlined at the Las Vegas Hilton in “Monster Circus,” Fiesta, Mandalay Bay, “Beacher’s Madhouse,” Royal Caribbean Int., NCL, Holland America and Rick Thomas Korea Tour.

Mario Ferreira is the “King of Novelty Entertainment.” He bursts on stage in a blast of energy, mesmerizing audiences with his many talents that include juggling, tapping, dancing and making you laugh.

This passionate performer was born in Lisbon, Portugal, and raised in the United States. He represents the seventh generation of Ferreira family entertainers, who have been in the spotlight in theatres around the world for years. Ferreira followed in his father’s footsteps when he began rehearsing the tight wire act at 8 years old, but when he started juggling and drumming, he became a pro and ultimately the only person to juggle three running chainsaws.

Ferreira took his act to Las Vegas at age 19, where he starred in his first show, “Hugh Hefner’s, Playboy Girl’s of Rock & Roll.” Since then, he has headlined at almost every hotel on the Strip and worked with such stars and legends as Sammy Davis Jr. and Gregory Hines (who he pays tributes to), Bob Hope, Michael Jackson, Steve Schrippa, Marion Jones Clarence Carter, and the Nelson Brothers. Ferreira was also the star performer in the Ricky Martin production “STORM” as the main solo percussionist act and he conquered the Cube of Death-ON FIRE at Mandalay Bay.

Television appearances include: “Roseanne,” “E! Entertainment,” Real TV, Nike Super Bowl and NBA commercial, “Sabado Gigante,”as well as highly acclaimed TV shows in Germany, Portugal, and Istanbul He’s funny and fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and some Italian.

Partner and wife Jennifer Romas-Ferreira is equally versatile. She got her start as a gymnast and Minnesota State Floor Champion and migrated to dance with a scholarship to the deep theatre jazz roots of Chicago. Later she toured and taught with the world renowned Gus Giodano Jazz Dance Chicago Dance Company. Ferreira played Snow White for Disney’s “Pocahontas” at the Shubert Theatre and The Lopa De Vega in Spain.

After her last concert performance at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts for former President Bill Clinton, she moved to Las Vegas. While in Vegas, she has worked with such stars as recording artist Kristine W, KC & the Sunshine Band, Sinbad, Charo, Olga Breeskin and mastered her Liza Minnelli impression. Ferreira was a dancer in many Las Vegas shows, performed with Cirque du Soleil, and choreographed many stage productions. The beauty has also modeled for Harley Davidson, Toyota, Reebok, Redkin, and released a new 7-UP jingle.
