Side By Side Veterans host Second Annual Veterans Day Barbeque in Centennial Hills Park
Side By Side Veterans hosted its second annual Veterans Day Barbeque in Centennial Hills Park. The event celebrated the service of United States Armed Forces veterans, and raised funds and supplies to support veterans in need.
Side by Side Veterans also collected supplies for Side by Side Baskets
Guests enjoyed barbeque favorites from The Smokin’ Chef, including pulled pork, smoked chicken, macaroni and cheese and baked beans, and perused silent auction items. Proceeds from the silent auction items were donated directly to Pets for Vets, providing a second chance for shelter dogs by rescuing, training and pairing them with veterans.

Side by Side Veterans also collected supplies for Side by Side Baskets. The housewarming baskets are filled with basic living essentials and provided to veterans newly housed by the VA. Items can include sheets, dishes, kitchen, cleaning and laundry supplies, towels, toiletries and paper products.
The event also included a celebrity guest appearance from Barney the snake, mascot to the 78th Attack Squadron “Bushmasters.”
