Smashburger Opens Second Las Vegas Location at Fort Apache and Sahara June 16

Smashburger, a fast-casual “better burger” restaurant will open its second Las Vegas location on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 10 a.m. The restaurant will open at 9109 W. Sahara Avenue and will continue Smashburger’s mission to become the city’s favorite place for burgers. This is the second location to open in Las Vegas under SB Las Vegas LLC, the first is located at 7541 W. Mead Blvd.

“The response to our first Las Vegas location has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Smashburger Founder Tom Ryan. “We look forward to bringing better burgers to the rest of the valley.”

The new location will also feature the popular Las Vegas regional menu items including the Sin City Smashburger, the All Nighter Salad and the Caramel Häagen-Dazs shake.

The Sin City Smashburger starts with a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent Certified Angus Beef, fried egg, applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, grilled onions, haystack onions and smash sauce on an artisan egg bun. The All Nighter salad begins with a crisp romaine and iceberg lettuce is topped with chopped Applewood smoked bacon, fried eggs, guacamole, fresh diced tomatoes, haystack onions, and cheddar cheese, with buttermilk ranch dressing.

“Las Vegas has embraced the Smashburger concept and we’re so excited to expand to another neighborhood in the city,” says Kim Gunderson, vice president of marketing for SB Las Vegas LLC.

Named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers are a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent—fresh, not frozen, Certified Angus Beef smashed on a flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, Smashburgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of real cheeses, the freshest produce, and top-quality condiments.

Smashburger is known for its savory burgers, but the restaurant also serves up delicious Smashchicken sandwiches, Smashdogs, and Smashsalads, with sides like veggie frites and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries. Burger lovers can pair their meals with beer, wine, Häagen-Dazs shakes and root-beer floats.
