Starbucks Donates $1.5 Million to Feeding America Including $20K to Three Square Food Bank in Las Vegas
As part of its commitment to ending hunger and supporting food insecure families in America, Starbucks recently announced a new donation of $1.5 million to Feeding America mobile food bank programs across the country, which includes a $20,000 donation to Three Square Food Bank here in Southern Nevada.

According to Feeding America, one in eight Southern Nevadans struggles with hunger – that’s more than 271,000 people in our community who are food insecure, which includes more than 103,000 children and 26,000 seniors. Three Square Food Bank will be able to use the donation to continue to serve an average of 18,600 individuals monthly, including an average of 4,300 children.

The donation is appropriately timed as school gets out, where millions of children who rely on free or reduced school meals may not know where their next meal will come from during the summer months.
