Summer Fun with Girl Scouts Begins with Camp in the City – Twilight Camp

What will you do this summer? Tonight kicks off the first of many Girl Scout summer programming opportunities available for girls ages 5 to 17. Sessions run from several hours to several days for girls seeking adventure from outdoor challenge to indoor art action. Camp in the City – Twilight Camp: Girls will sample what life is like at a resident summer camp while staying here in the city. They will participate in the traditions of camp learning: to build a fire, make a sit upon, cook an outdoor meal, make s’mores, tie basic knots, pitch a tent, work with leather, hike, skits, songs and games and more.

WHEN: Monday, June 13 to Wednesday, June 15, 6-9 p.m.

  • Monday: archery, s’mores, leather craft
  • Tuesday: tent pitching, hikes, knot tying
  • Wednesday: sleeping bag relays, edible fire, skits
