Pahrump Valley Museum Lecture Series: Calling all history buffs: the Pahrump Valley Museum is dedicated to inspiring curiosity and teaching the rich history and culture of Pahrump through its one-of-a-kind exhibits that include early farming and mining equipment, early relics from cowboys and pioneers, and Native American artifacts. In addition to the historic items on display, the Pahrump Valley Museum offers a monthly lecture series that covers a wide range of topics.

Date: Second Saturday of the month; June 10
Time: 1 p.m.
Details: June’s guest speaker features Pahrump Valley Museum’s very own historian, Tim France. France will be sharing the history of the Pahrump store, which is located on the museum’s back lot. The store was originally built in 1905 and has some interesting tales attached to it. Admission to the event is free.

Pahrump Valley Speedway: Race season is in full effect at the Pahrump Valley Speedway. One of the only clay-based, high-banked, quarter-mile dirt tracks remaining in the U.S., Pahrump Valley Speedway promises action and thrills galore. Bring the family for a day of racing and cheer on different classes of cars including Modifieds, Super Stocks, Dwarf Cars, Coupes, Bombers, Mod Minis, and more.

Details: Tickets can be purchased at the speedway. General adult tickets cost $10 and children between 6 – 14 years of age arre $6. Children age 5 and under are FREE. Family six packs are available for $30 (two adults and four kids under 14)

Father’s Day BBQ at Mountain Falls Golf Course: Treat your dad to a day of golf, food, and fun at Mountain Falls Golf Course. After a round of golf, stop by the Mountain Falls Grill Groom for a lunch on the patio featuring charbroiled tri-tip sandwich, baked beans and coleslaw or macaroni salad.

Details: Lunch at the Grill Room will be available from 11 am to 3 pm and is priced at $12 per person.

Fireworks Over Pahrump: The Fourth of July is fast approaching and what could be more fun than setting off your own fireworks. Launch your own fireworks in a safe and supervised environment or enjoy the show at the Pahrump Fireworks Launch Site. All visitors who are interested in launching their own fireworks must obtain a special permit from one of the five local fireworks stores.

Date(s): June 30- July 4
Time: 8 pm – 11 pm
Details: The site is first come first serve with a 30-minute time limit. Permits to launch fireworks are $5 per person and can be purchased at Area 51, Phantom Fireworks, Red Apple Fireworks, Black Jack Fireworks and Extreme Pyro.
