The 2nd Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade October 31, 2011

Don’t miss Las Vegas’ only Halloween Parade. The 2nd Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade (LVHP) will be held on Halloween night, Monday, October 31, 2011. All interested in joining the parade should arrive, in costume, at the staging area located on 4th St. and Hoover, just north of Charleston beginning at 6 p.m. The downtown parade route will be held on 4th Street, Northbound to the disband location at Ogden (one block North of Fremont Street).

The 2nd Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade is an all ages event committed to the cultural and imaginative life of Las Vegas and the advancement of large-scale participatory events. The LVHP is an open forum for visual and performing artists to display their work in an environment where all can be creators as well as participants and viewers. The Parade consists of imaginative costumes, music, mobile artwork, and the unexpected by the community and citizens of Las Vegas.

For large scale art pieces, motorized vehicles, sound systems or large walking groups, please register on the website at www.thelasvegashalloweenparade.com. You will be placed in the parade line up. If you are interested in your entry being judged, please register on the website and in person the night of the parade on Fourth Street and Hoover from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Categories for judging include best group costume, most creative Las Vegas themed costume, funniest costume, best-lighted costume, weirdest costume, best float, best LVHparade showgirl Icon and scariest costume. The best viewing location is along 4th Street, from Hoover Street North to the Fremont Street Experience.

TIME: Parade line up at 6:00pm- Parade starts at 7 p.m.

COST: FREE for parade participants, only advertisers must pay a fee, see website.
