The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada Teens to Compete in First Ever DJ Battle on May 22, 2015
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada has partnered with Camp Spin Off and SkratchpadLV to bring DJ workshops and DJ Battles to at-risk and underprivileged local teens.
Through a culmination of the workshops and weekly DJ mentoring, teens will enter a DJ Battle to win a scholarship to Camp Spin Off.

Teens have been preparing by working on special equipment and learning skills based on two classes: 1)scratching on tables and 2) mixing.

The first teen DJ Battle will be held this Friday May 22, at the Lied Memorial Clubhouse beginning at 5:15 pm and will be hosted by teachers DJ Tina T and Raphael Hubilla.

Founded by Las Vegas’ DJ Tina T, Camp Spin Off is the only music production camp specializing in DJing. Our mission is to provide young aspiring DJs & producers ages 13-17 with a life changing summer camp experience. Our 5-day, traditional sleep away summer camp is held every year in Ojai, California. During camp, 50 youth participants learned about music production, DJing, music business, team building, and leadership from some of the world’s best DJ’s, instructors, speakers, and counselors. For the past few years, we have collaborated with the Boys and Girls club in Las Vegas to hold DJ workshops and DJ battles at a chance for at-risk and underprivileged teens to win a scholarship to attend Camp Spin Off. It is our goal to expand this throughout the year to more teens in Las Vegas. Camp dates are August 2-6, 2014.
Scratchpad LV is the Las Vegas chapter of Skratchpad originating in 2003 in San Francisco by Celskiii and Deeandroid. The mission is to help preserve Hip Hop culture, elevating the art of DJing, and connecting the music, culture, & people.”
