The CW’s Hit TV Series Supernatural Gets Its Own Fan Convention in Las Vegas March 8-10

 Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki
Spooky otherworld TV series Supernatural, now celebrating its 8th season on The CW Network, has a fervent following that has blossomed into on-line clubs, merchandising, and a fan convention featuring the two lead actors, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. The Salute to Supernatural Convention comes to the Las Vegas area Friday thru Sunday, March 8, 9 & 10, at the Rio Suites Hotel, 3700 W. Flamingo Road.

The series follows the Winchester Brothers as they travel the USA in search of demons and other figures of the paranormal while cruising in their 1967 vintage Impala.  The interplay between the two lead characters has captured a loyal fan base most likely aided by the heartthrob status of actors Ackles and Padalecki.  Supernatural offers plenty of action and gore but true fans of the series, and those most likely to attend the convention, love the brotherly bond between Ackles and Padalecki’s characters of Dean and Sam Winchester.

The three day convention features appearances by other Supernatural stars and also includes fan made video presentations, auctions, Supernatural costume, trivia and centerpiece contests, Supernatural themed parties and music, and merchandising.

Throughout the weekend celebrity guests from Supernatural scheduled to appear will include: on Friday, Chad Lindberg (Ash), Matt Cohen (Young John Winchester) and Rob Benedict (Chuck Shurley/Edlund Carver), Gabriel Tigerman (Andrew Gallagher) and James Patrick Stuart (Dick Roman); on Saturday, the stars of Supernatural Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) and Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester), as well as Misha Collins (Castiel), Rob Benedict (Chuck Shurley/Edlund Carver), Emily Perkins (Becky Rosen) and Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer); and on Sunday, Mark Sheppard (Crowley), Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer), Sebastian Roche (Balthazar), Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer/Nick), Julie McNiven (Anna Milton), and Samatha Smith (Mary Winchester).  Hosting all three days will be Richard Speight, Jr. (Trickster/Gabriel).

Friday night will feature a free karaoke party with hosts Richard Speight, Jr. and Matt Cohen.  They will be joined by Chad Lindberg, James Patrick Stuart, Gabriel Tigerman, and Rob Benedict.  On Sunday night there will be a live concert with Louden Swain, featuring band members by Rob Benedict (Supernatural’s actor and singer), Michael Borax, Billy Moran, and Stephen Norton.  A separate ticket is required.

General admission tickets are available in advance or at the door for $30 on Friday and $40 on Sunday.  Reserved seating for Friday is $50 and Saturday and Sunday is $80. On Saturday, general admission tickets are sold out.  Show hours are Friday, 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM, Saturday, 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM and Sunday, 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM.   General admission tickets for the Sunday night concert are $10. For further information, call Creation Entertainment, 818/409-0960, or visit our website at www.creationent.com.
