The Golden Tiki Celebrates 3 Year Anniversary
On Sunday, Aug. 26, The Golden Tiki, Las Vegas’ premier tiki oasis, rang in their 3-year anniversary with a surprise performance by Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal as well as a very special wedding vow renewal between Golden Tiki’s managing partner, Branden Powers and his wife Lisa Powers (Photo credit: Hew Burney)

Hughes, an ordained minister, officiated the vow renewal ceremony before jumping on stage to perform a number of hits from his band Eagles of Death Metal, such as “I Got a Feelin’,” “Cherry Cola,” and “I Want You So Hard,” in addition to a few jams by Boots Electric, another of Hughes’ musical collaborations. At the end of the evening, the rocker gifted the baby blue Les Paul guitar that he played, to the new Mr. & Mrs.

The anniversary event was hosted by Monti Rock III and Tony Felicetta and featured the additional musical stylings of Professor Rex Dart, DJ Michael Toast, and After School Special.

Guests were treated to champagne, passed appetizers featuring a sampling of The Golden Tiki’s favorite menu items including their famous Dole Whip, and wedding cake to celebrate the newlyweds.
