The Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra to Perform "Rhapsody in Blue" with Local Piano Superstar Alexandria Le
The Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra will perform its first concert of the Orchestra Series on October 22, 2017 featuring Gershwin’s epic masterpiece Rhapsody in Blue. Young Artists Orchestra Music Director, Yunior Lopez, has invited local piano superstar Alexandria Le as the soloist in this unique presentation. 

The evening will be filled with popular movie music including Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor, and favorites by Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, and Carlos Gardel. Local soprano star, Isabella Ivy, will also make an appearance in Kurt Weill’s Surabaya Johnny. Ms. Ivy performed with the orchestra back in February 2017 when she sang favorites from Bizet’s Carmen.

The LVYAO and Ms. Le will launch the Orchestra Series for 2017 with this popular collaboration on Sunday, October 22, at 2:00 p.m. in the Windmill Library’s Performing Arts Center. The LVYAO orchestras will perform including the Symphony, which is comprised of young professionals up to age 22, and the Academy Orchestra made up of students aged 16 and under.

LVYAO Founder & Music Director, Yunior Lopez, has described Alexandria Le as “one of the most important musicians and arts leaders in our community today.” Mr. Lopez and Ms. Le are frequent collaborators. This performance will mark Alexandria Le’s second appearance with the Young Artists Orchestra.

The Young Artists Orchestra Symphony and Alexandria Le will perform on Sunday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Windmill Library Performing Arts Center.
