The Public Education Foundation Unveils Holiday Art Contest Winners
The Public Education Foundation selected Cameron Dearborn, a senior at Liberty High School as the first place winner of its annual holiday art contest. The theme of this year’s contest was Peace, Love, Joy (2011 holiday card 1st place entry by Cameron Dearborn).
Dearborn’s artwork will be featured on the Foundation’s 2011 holiday card, which is mailed to approximately 16,000 community members. Dearborn also receives a $25 gift card to Blick Art Materials, a first-place recognition certificate and 50 holiday cards.

Second place winner Paulani Wong, a junior at West Career & Technical Academy, receives a $25 gift card to Blick Art Materials and a recognition certificate. Third place winner Haley Grantham, also a junior at West Career & Technical Academy, receives a $25 gift card to Blick Art Materials and a recognition certificate.

All three winners will be honored at a special ceremony on Monday, December 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Blick Art Materials, 290 South Decatur Blvd. The media is invited to attend. The winning artwork will be displayed in Blick Art Materials and on the Foundation’s Web site.
Tara Ferro teaches Dearborn at Liberty High and Christine Pavesich teaches Wong and Grantham at West Career & Technical Academy. Both teachers receive a $50 gift card to The Cheesecake Factory and credits to shop at the Foundation’s Teacher EXCHANGE, a resource center for Clark County School District (CCSD) teachers.
More than 300 entries were received from CCSD elementary, middle and high school students.
