Three Square Receives $46,150 Walmart Foundation State Giving Grant to Support BackPack for Kids Program in Las Vegas
Walmart, on behalf of the Walmart Foundation, presented Three Square Food Bank with a $46,150 State Giving grant to support the organization’s BackPack for Kids Program. Three Square is Southern Nevada’s only food bank providing food assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties.

Following the check presentation, representatives from both Three Square and Walmart helped pack backpacks for the BackPack for Kids Program. This initiative provides bags of nutritious, single-serving, ready-to-eat food items each Friday during the school year and summer months, to children who might otherwise go without during weekends and long breaks from school.
Walmart and the Walmart Foundation look for organizations that address the needs of the communities they serve and make a significant social impact within Walmart’s core areas of giving opportunity, sustainability and community.
