The 2015 Brazilian Outdoor Festival is returning to Via Brasil Steakhouse on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. Summerlin’s neighborhood churrascaria, located at the Ft. Apache Commons Shopping Center, will host an afternoon of Brazilian culture and beyond for guests of all ages (Pictured: Fire Dancer)

With live music and traditional Brazilian food and drinks, the Brazilian Outdoor Festival is perfect for those looking to enjoy a beautiful day while experiencing elements of this unique South American culture. Famous Brazilian bands set the backdrop for samba dancers, stilt walkers, capoeira performances – an art that mixes martial arts and dance – fire dancers and fire breathers that highlight the lineup of entertainment.

“This is the second time we’ve held the Brazilian Outdoor Festival at Via Brasil, and we are looking forward to continuing to grow this tradition,” said Adam Gomes, co-owner of Via Brasil Steakhouse. “More than anything else, the festival is just a great time for people to get together and enjoy good fun in good company. But to be able to share such amazing elements of the Brazilian culture with the people in our community is what makes it special for us.”

This year the event will benefit local charity partner, Opportunity Village, the not-for-profit organization serving children and adults with intellectual disabilities to enhance their lives and the lives of the their families. While Via Brasil has supported the community through charitable contributions for many years, this is the first time the Brazilian Outdoor Festival will directly benefit the community partner, as 100 percent of net profits from tickets sold will be donated.

“This community has supported us and given us so much in our six-plus years here,” said Anna Gomes, co-owner of Via Brasil. “We are proud to use this great celebration of culture to continue to do good in the community and encourage cultural education, acceptance and opportunity here in Las Vegas.”

Advance purchase general admission tickets are on sale now through Sunday Sept. 13 at Via Brasil Steakhouse for $10 and guarantee a no-wait entry on the day of the festival. General admission tickets purchased the week of Sept. 13 will be available for $12. Limited VIP preferred seating tickets are available upon request at Via Brasil Steakhouse; VIP guests will have access to a menu of complimentary dishes during the event. Children under 12 years old and under enter the event for free.
