music festival at Fremont Street Experience will feature Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet with Men Without Hats on Saturday, August 20 at 9 p.m. on the 3rd Street Stage.  
The stop at Fremont Street Experience is part of Tony Hadley’s first-ever solo shows in the U.S. with only six stops slated for this tour – New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Las Vegas.

Spandau Ballet is a British band formed in the late 1970s. Initially inspired by the New Romantic fashion, their music has featured a mixture of funk, jazz, soul and synthpop. They were one of the most commercially successful bands of the 1980s with 23 hit singles, ten reaching Top Ten status; four Top Ten albums in the UK between 1980 and 1990; a combined total of over 500 weeks in the UK charts; and album sales of over 25 million worldwide. The most memorable singles were “Gold,” “Communication,” “Lifeline” and the international number one “True.” “True” was a phenomenon and used by countless mediums over the years including Sixteen Candles, The Wedding Singer, The Simpsons, sampled by PM Dawn in 1991, featured on Paul Anka’s Rock Swings in 2005 to name a few.
