Established in 2004, the university is home to a wide range of degree programs including the state’s largest medical school, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, nursing, medical health sciences, occupational therapy, and education. In addition to the ground-breaking programs offered, the university is home to the Touro University Nevada Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities and the newly expanded Touro Health Center.

At the gala Touro honored 10 special guests that were instrumental in founding the university and are making a difference today as the university moves forward into the future. Honorees include: United States Senator Harry Reid and The City of Henderson; Valley Health System; Zappos and Findlay Automotive Group; retired founding CEO of Touro University Nevada Dr. Michael Harter and his wife Dr. Carol Harter; Nevada’s Medical Societies including the Clark County Medical Society, Nevada State Osteopathic Association, and Nevada State Medical Association; the inaugural class of osteopathic medicine and physician assistant studies students that graduated from Touro; donor and partner Orgill Singer and its CEO David Dahan; and Blanche and Phil Miesel.

Touro University Nevada celebrates 10th Anniversary

The ‘Ten for Touro Gala’ began with a cocktail reception that allowed guests to visit the silent auction followed by dinner, the awards presentation and keynote address by City National Bank Chairman and CEO Russell Goldsmith. Proceeds from this event support the Touro Scholarship Fund helping students complete their studies regardless of their financial circumstances.
