Touro University Nevada Honors Students at White Coat Ceremony
Touro University Nevada will hold its White Coat Ceremony on Sunday, September 25 at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino. The ceremony will be held in the Pavilion Ballroom and begin at 3 p.m.
The TUN White Coat Ceremony was developed to honor students in osteopathic medicine, physician assistant studies & physical therapy as they accept the professional responsibilities inherent in their relationship with patients.
The ceremony will include 135 students from the Osteopathic Medicine Class of 2015, 41 students from the Physical Therapy Class of 2014 and 56 students from the Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2013.
“The White Coat ceremony is a tradition for our students to symbolize the commitment they are making to the health care profession,” said Senior Provost and CEO Michael Harter, Ph.D. “With the increasing need for a quality health and wellness workforce in Nevada, it is encouraging for the community to see an increasing number of students enrolling in our programs. ”
