Newly established United States of America Pageant announced today its first-ever pageant in Las Vegas from July 27-29. The diverse organization is looking for women from Nevada and California to compete in Teen, Miss, Ms. and Mrs. competitions at Conference Center of Las Vegas, located at 6590 Bermuda Road (Pictured: Marissa Castillo).

“We are excited to bring this new form of pageantry to Las Vegas,” said Marissa Castillo, executive director and Mrs. Nevada – United States 2016. “Our pageant is designed to encourage women from all walks of life to strive to achieve their hopes, dreams, goals and aspirations while making them feel confident and beautiful inside and out.”

The organization aims to empower women, inspire others and uplift everyone, promote self-image and advocate a platform of community service. Eligibility for all four categories of United States of America’s pageants include being a U.S. citizen, naturalized or has been granted permanent residency by the United States.

Age requirement must be by January 1, 2019. Teen contestants must be between the ages of 13 and 17; Miss contestants between 18 and 28; Ms. Contestants at least 29 or older; and Mrs. contestants at least 18 or older and legally married.

“Our pageants truly go beyond just a competition,” said Sadda Shaker, co-director of United States of America’s Miss Nevada and Miss California pageants. “As a former sponsor of many pageants throughout my career, I truly have seen the impact that these women make in their communities and how they inspire others to do the same.”

Areas of competition include personal interview, swimwear, and evening gown. For the teen division, there will be personal interview, athletic wear and evening gown. Winners in all four categories can win up to a $5,000 cash prize (conditions apply); crowned queen’s entry to the national pageant (valued at $2,295); official local titleholder’s embroidered sash; official photo shoot; contestant swag bag; and more.*
