United Way of Southern Nevada Kicks Off 2011 Campaign and Recognizes Community Partners Sept. 29
United Way of Southern Nevada hosts its 2011 community Campaign Kickoff at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Sept. 29. Sponsored by NV Energy, Southwest Gas Corporation and USAA Savings Bank, United Way will announce its annual fundraising goal to generate excitement for the yearly campaign season.
Focusing its efforts on the areas of education, income, health and immediate needs, United Way of Southern Nevada joins with its corporate Pacesetters, sponsors and volunteer community campaign cabinet to announce the 2011 campaign goal and recognize community collaborations including The Lincy Foundation, 100 Black Men of Las Vegas and Nevada Banker’s Association.
United Way’s 2011 Campaign Chair and President and General Manager of 8 News NOW, Emily Neilson will introduce the 2011 campaign cabinet volunteers and recognize corporate Pacesetters, a select group of businesses who help the fundraising efforts by turning in their workplace campaign results before the campaign officially begins. In addition, anchors from 8 News NOW This Morning will serve as the masters of ceremonies for the event.
