Veganuary Las Vegas Returns to Sin City for the Second Annual Vegan Dining Month
A month-long celebration of the vegan lifestyle, Veganuary Las Vegas will return to Sin City for its second year in January 2019. Organized by Vegans, Baby, the comprehensive Las Vegas guide to all things vegan, the month-long celebration of vegan dining will showcase chefs and restaurants on and off the Strip interested in reaching vegan and vegan-curious audiences of locals and visitors alike (Photo courtesy of China Poblano)

“I want to show that there are a myriad of options for vegan dining in Las Vegas so people understand that going vegan and dining out in the city isn’t difficult,” says Diana Edelman, Vegans, Baby founder. “I also want restaurants to see that if they offer more vegan options, people will come out to try the food and support the venues.”

Veganuary Las Vegas 2019 will offer Las Vegas restaurants a unique opportunity to serve vegan cuisine to guests and reach an audience who wants to dine out, at the same time inspiring people to try a vegan lifestyle for the month.

“The goal of Vegans, Baby is to showcase that being vegan is attainable,” Edelman says. “Veganuary Las Vegas is an extension of that and showcases amazing plant-based eats while giving back.”

Confirmed participating restaurants include Border Grill, Sparrow + Wolf, Blinders Burgers & Brunch, TIABI and Salud Mexican Bistro, with more signing on every day. Not only will restaurant partners create and offer a special Veganuary Las Vegas menu for the entire month of January, but each has agreed to donate a portion of the proceeds for the month to the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA).

In its inaugural year, Veganuary Las Vegas was home to 18 participating restaurants that raised more than $6,000 for the determined local and international charities, and sold more than 5,000 vegan dishes, totaling more than $55,000 in sales.

For its second year in Las Vegas, Vegans, Baby hopes to exceed last year’s numbers, continuing to raise awareness both within the culinary community and throughout the general public and educate participants about a plant-based lifestyle and how accessible, delicious and beneficial it can be.
