Thanksgiving has come a week early for a handful of Vegas nonprofits dedicated to hunger relief and basic human services (Pictured: Three Square Food Bank).

Nevada Homeless Alliance
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation has announced $230,000 in grants to 20 nonprofits dedicated to hunger relief and basic human services. The grants are part of Bank of America’s broader philanthropic strategy focusing on housing, jobs and hunger to help individuals and families in Las Vegas lead stronger financial lives.

Boys Town
The grant funding will impact nearly 350,000 Southern Nevadans, including the delivery of 475,000 local meals.

Goodie Two Shoes
The organizations receiving funding include:
- Three Square Food Bank, to support the continued operation of multiple programs that serve approximately 137,0000 food insecure Southern Nevadans each month
- Nevada Homeless Alliance, Inc., to support programs and services that connect homeless individuals and families to critical resources
- The Salvation Army of Southern Nevada, to support its Food in the Desert program, providing meals to homeless in Southern Nevada
- American Red Cross Southern Nevada Chapter, to support relief programs that provide shelter, food and health services to disaster victims
- Create A Change Now, to support its Healthy School, Healthy Life program at Booker Elementary School
- The Huntridge Teen Clinic, to provide medical and dental services to teens from low-income families

Olive Crest
These grants are the latest community effort by Bank of America, a philanthropic leader in the Silver State. In the last year, the bank gave more than $2 million back to the Southern Nevada community in the form of grants and partnerships. Additionally, local employees volunteered more than 10,000 hours with local nonprofits.
