"Vegas Valley Memories: The Art of Roy Purcell" Exhibit Opens August 3 at Springs Preserve
Roy Purcell’s
mixed media paintings combine art with text for a chronological overview of the history of the Las Vegas Valley in the new exhibit Vegas Valley Memories: The Art of Roy Purcell on display at the Springs Preserve, daily August 3 through October 8, 2017, inside the Origen Museum.

Like a modern day graphic novel, Purcell’s approach to combining etching, watercolor, oil, acrylic, pencil and printmaking are works of multi-dimensional storytelling. Captivated by the mountains and the vastness of the western desert and the people who settled this rugged land, the artist transformed his interest in Las Vegas history into works of art, delivering a continuum of our past, present and future.

Exhibit on display daily, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. August 3 through October 8, 2017. Free for members or included with paid general admission.

Where: Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., (Meadows Ln. Between Alta Dr. and U.S. 95)

When: Daily August 3 through October 8, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
