Community Ambulance to Host Its Sixth Blood Drive on July 25

Since the start of the pandemic, cancellation of large gatherings and closure of donation locations state-wide has caused a dramatic decrease in the already severely short blood supply among blood banks.

Local ambulance company, Community Ambulance, is committed to helping replenish Southern Nevada’s blood supply. By enforcing new safety protocols when serving donors, like screening for illness before donation and frequently disinfecting surfaces and equipment, Community Ambulance has garnered support from dozens of donors to help blood banks and hospitals across the Valley.

Since March, the company has worked with over 150 local donors to collect more than 120 units of crucially needed blood.

On Saturday, July 25, in partnership with the American Red Cross, Community Ambulance will host their sixth blood drive this year at 91 Corporate Park Drive #120 Henderson, NV 89074.

While the demand for donations continues to grow, Community Ambulance anticipates an increase in donors as the community seeks new ways to help amid the pandemic. July is expected to have the highest amount of donor registrations so far this year — but a limited number of spots are still available!
