- Sunday, June 21 is also World Giraffe Day – celebrate with Ozzie, Nevada’s giraffe at Lion Habitat Ranch. Open 10 – 2pm. There will be a scavenger hunt for kids to learn more about giraffes, giraffe- themed enrichment for birds once per hour during bird chat, giraffe-themed enrichment will be given to lioness Zorra at 10:15am, a giraffe costume contest at 12:15pm next to the giraffe area, and one or two other surprise activities. lionhabitatranch.org
