Fulfillment Fund Las Vegas Awards 155 Scholarships This Year, Sponsoring Las Vegas Students’ Post-Secondary Plans

Closing out the academic year, Fulfillment Fund Las Vegas (FFLV) has awarded 155 scholarships to local students to help fund their post-secondary plans, including the inaugural Scott Carlovksy Scholarship. The local non-profit organization makes college a reality for students growing up in economically and educationally under-resourced communities and offers individualized programs geared toward predominantly low-income, first-generation students.

Since opening its doors in 2012, FFLV has served students in grades 9 – 12 and has awarded over $1,403,500 in scholarships. For more information about FFLV visit FulfillmentFundLasVegas.org.

In partnership with Outdoor Solutions, the Scott Carlovsky Scholarship was established this year to provide one graduating student from Chaparral High School a $25,000 scholarship to apply toward a major in communication, advertising, english, marketing, creative writing, graphic design, web design or business at a Nevada college. The recipient of the very first Scott Carlovsky Scholarship was awarded to Chaparral High School senior, Dreylon Madison, who will attend the University of Nevada, Reno in the Fall.

Scott Carlovsky was a prominent member of the Las Vegas community and former owner of Outdoor Solutions, Nevada’s leader in out-of-home media sales and services.  FFLV is grateful to continue to his legacy.

“Moments like these remind us that education is the equalizer. The Scott Carlovsky Memorial Scholarship, awarded to Dreylon Madison, represents Scott’s commitment to that belief. Our donors find great pride in contributing to our students’ success,” said Lindy Schumacher, Chief Executive Officer of Fulfillment Fund Las Vegas.

FFLV continues to provide necessary resources to over 1,700 students and their families including guidance on college deadlines, testing requirements and financial aid. For more information about FFLV visit FulfillmentFundLasVegas.org.
