Global Hospitality Group sbe Hosts a Relief Effort Drive for Las Vegas Employees Affected by COVID-19 Pandemic

On Thursday, April 2, 2020, global lifestyle hospitality brand sbe continued its giveback program for its furloughed and laid off Las Vegas employees, where 300+ care packages were distributed to those affected by the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Las Vegas is a major market in the hospitality world and the sbe venues affected include Kumi, Citizens and Hyde lounge at T-Mobile Arena.

In accordance with the mandates, each package was  placed in employee’s trunks by a gloved worker. No more than 10 people were present at one time and it was all handled with care and in an orderly, organized fashion.

Each package contains household essentials like cleaning supplies, toilet paper, bath products, non-perishable food, cases of water, $50 gift cards for gas and groceries, and more.

To date, over 2000 packages were disseminated to employees in markets including Las Vegas,  LA, and Miami. Next up includes Chicago, San Francisco. Additional cities to follow.

Founder & CEO Sam Nazarian, a prominent name in Los Angeles, has been taking incredible action in response to the pandemic. In mid March he launched a GoFundMe page to support the hospitality community featuring a heartfelt video to help his hundreds of affected employees, showing his incredible leadership.

For every dollar raised sbe is matching by dollar, and so far over $115k has been raised.  Link to Go Fund Me: sbe.com/gofundme

This fund has been set up to benefit the men and women that have served our restaurants, bars and nightlife venues for the last 20 years. This is an unprecedented time – we have never seen anything like this. These funds will directly benefit all of the sbe team members who cannot come to work and to support themselves and their families.

In addition to this page, I am personally taking efforts to ensure we care for our team members who are temporarily out of work by providing extended benefits coverage and a combination of pay from sbe, combined with federal and state programs.

This industry of 15 million people in the U.S. alone, woke up one morning and weren’t able to perform their jobs. As they have taken care of all of us for the past 2 decades, please join us to support our sbe team members now. We are aiming to go above and beyond for our team but we need your help NOW to help THEM. For every dollar you will donate, sbe will match the amount.

Together, with your and our support, we will create care packages to deliver to our team members. Let’s support this incredible Tribe of people who have served and helped us for the past 20 years. Thank you.” – Sam Nazarian
