Las Vegas Approves Contract For Preliminary Design of a Pedestrian Bridge on Strip

A busy intersection on the Las Vegas Strip may soon have a new pedestrian bridge.

The Las Vegas City Council on Wednesday approved funding for a preliminary design for a pedestrian bridge on the Strip.

According to a tweet from the City of Las Vegas, council members approved a contract to fund the preliminary design of a pedestrian bridge toward the North end of the Strip at the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard. The project is in coordination with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada and Clark County, according to the city.

The city mentioned that a final design is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
