Opportunity Village Will Continue to Serve Clients While Ceasing Campus-Based Day Programs
Opportunity Village has the honor and responsibility of caring for nearly 2,000 people with intellectual and related disabilities and their families annually. The health and well-being of our clients, families, staff and supporters is our utmost concern.
Yesterday, national health officials from the CDC released the recommendation that everyone practice social distancing and stay away from groups of 10 or more. Following this directive, Opportunity Village’s leadership, in conjunction with the State of Nevada, have decided to cease all campus-based day programs effective tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18. These programs are scheduled to resume on April 6, 2020.
Opportunity Village will be making accommodations to continue to serve clients and families in-home utilizing our current Direct Care staff. Other OV staff members will be working remotely from home.

We will strictly adhere to CDC guidelines while caring for every individual we serve. With the COVID-19 situation evolving as quickly as it is, Opportunity Village leadership will continue keeping a close eye on the situation and will quickly make further adjustments in our operations as necessary.
