Summerlin Patriotic Parade Goes Virtual – Special Preview and Message of Hope from Jimmy Kimmel, Elaine Wynn, Nate Schmidt, Alec Martinez, A’ja Wilson, Keith Moody
Jimmy Kimmel, Elaine Wynn, Vegas Golden Knights Nate Schmidt and Alec Martinez with his dog, Hank, Las Vegas Aces A’ja Wilson and Raiders alumni Keith Moody join other community groups for the 26th annual and first-ever virtual Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade.
Parade enthusiasts throughout Las Vegas and beyond are encouraged to visit summerlinpatrioticparade.com to watch the premiere at 9 a.m. on July 4.
The parade broadcast is approximately 30 minutes long. Highlights this year include:
- Community Cheers Parade saluting local community heroes, including teachers, first-responders, healthcare workers, LVMPD and more
- West Las Vegas Arts Center Performance Ensemble celebrating American spirit and freedom with a joyful performance of “A Brand New Day”
- Desert Angels Choir and talented student performers join forces for a creative, physically distanced rendition of “We’re All In This Together”
- User-generated collection of mini-films and photographs from local residents sprinkled throughout the broadcast
- Hint for virtual parade viewers– stay tuned through the closing credits for a few more special surprises
The Summerlin Council, the non-profit arm of the Summerlin Community Association dedicated to the social, educational and recreational enrichment of residents, is event organizer and producer.
Parade hosts are Sherry Swensk and Brian Loftus from 8 News Now and Mercedes Martinez and JC Fernandez from 8 News Now and Mix 94.1. Title sponsor is The Howard Hughes Corporation/Summerlin. Premier Sponsor is Centralized Security Services.
