Triple George Grill Surprises Staff at UMC with Power Lunch Delivery

Surprise! Chef Rhori Kow and the management team of Triple George Grill, home to the most notorious power lunch in the city, kicked off their new food donation initiative with an unannounced visit to frontline healthcare workers at UMC on Thursday afternoon. The “Power Trips” are designed to recharge some of the hardest working heroes in the community and give back, like a real George would.

Maintaining social distancing guidelines and hospital protocol, the food was dropped off at the main trauma entrance where it was picked up by members of the UMC team and distributed inside to the Lab and Admitting departments. The Triple George crew prepared over sixty individually-wrapped lunches, allowing staff members to grab and go without having to huddle around self-serving trays.

“We’ve been fortunate to be able to stay open during this time and receive such great support from the community,” said Kow. “What it means to be a George is written on the wall of our restaurant. With so many heroes on the clock right now, it’s important that we live up to our own name and recharging them with a power lunch is the least we can do.”

Triple George Grill is open for curbside pickup and delivery seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. With family 4-pack’s staring at just $35 and alcohol service available out-the-door the classic downtown eatery has everything you need to help keep you home and healthy.
