A trio of Downtown Las Vegas casinos is rolling out the red carpet for Canadian visitors, celebrating the early success of a unique promotion that treats the Canadian dollar the same as the U.S. dollar.
Circa Resort & Casino, The D Las Vegas, and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino launched their “Vegas at Par” program earlier this year, allowing Canadian residents to enjoy select gaming, hotel, and beverage experiences at a one-to-one exchange rate, regardless of the daily currency market. The promotion is designed to give Canadian travelers more value while visiting Las Vegas and to create a welcoming atmosphere for one of the city’s most loyal international audiences.
The response has been immediate. In a video posted on X by CEO/Owner Derek Stevens, more than 15,000 visitors have taken advantage of the promotion during its first month, generating more than 2,700 hotel room bookings across the three downtown casinos.

Under the program, Canadian guests can exchange up to $500 CAD at par for slot free play, making it easy for visitors to jump right into the action on the casino floor. The promotion also extends to cocktails and hotel stays, giving travelers additional ways to enjoy their time in Downtown Las Vegas without worrying about fluctuating exchange rates.
For Derek Stevens, the promotion carries personal meaning.
“At Par has created real momentum with our Canadian guests right out of the gate, and that means a lot to me personally, given my lifelong connection to Canada,” Stevens said in a statement.
Stevens has long embraced Canadian visitors at his downtown properties, and the “Vegas at Par” promotion continues that tradition by offering a straightforward, no-catch value proposition for travelers heading south of the border.
The Canadian focus will continue throughout the year with additional entertainment offerings aimed at drawing visitors to Downtown Las Vegas. Excision is scheduled to headline two nights at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center in April, with tickets also offered at par pricing. Canadian rock band Finger Eleven will follow with a performance during the Downtown Rocks Summer Concert Series in June.
With strong early participation and a lineup of upcoming events, the “Vegas at Par” promotion is quickly becoming a popular draw for Canadian travelers looking to experience Las Vegas with added value.
