Las Vegas police have officially identified the cause of death for travel influencer Anunay Sood, revealing that the 32-year-old died from accidental fentanyl and alcohol poisoning.
The Clark County medical examination report provides final details in the case involving the Dubai-based creator.
Anunay Sood’s Cause of Death Confirmed By Toxicology Report
According to the Clark County medical examiner, travel influencer Anunay Sood’s death was the result of combined fentanyl and ethanol toxicity. The manner of death was ruled accidental, the report states. In essence, this brings closure to questions surrounding the circumstances of his passing.
On November 4, 2025, the Las Vegas authorities responded to a distress call concerning the social media personality. According to the police report, Soods’ pals initially thought he was in a deep sleep, and when they could not wake him up, they alerted the authorities. They found Sood, 32, unresponsive, in a room at the Wynn Las Vegas. First responders then proceeded to administer life-saving measures to get the situation under control.
According to the report, a female staying with Sood told police she and Sood bought what they believed to be cocaine from a man on the casino floor around 4 a.m. Sood and a group “proceeded to use the cocaine,” and fell asleep. About an hour later, the women woke up to find Sood unresponsive.
The report further stated that medical personnel applied CPR and five Narcan packets, which all failed to revive him. Sood was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time, the LVMPD implied that his demise “could be from a possible overdose.”
Amid investigations, the police found several evidence, including a small bag with an unidentified white substance in the hotel room. The toxicology results were released almost two months after his death.

The Dubai-based influencer took a trip to Las Vegas to attend the Las Vegas Concours 2025 car show, as seen on the Instagram account. Sood shared several highlights of his trip, including luxury automotive showcases and social gatherings. His last public social media update featured shots from the city, capturing moments of excitement and joy just days before his untimely demise.
Shortly after, his family took to social media announcing the sad news of his death. “It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing,” the family wrote in a post shared to his account. Further down the post, they asked for understanding and privacy while they waded through the unfortunate event.
With over 70,000 comments, friends and fans gathered to express shock and pay their final respects. Sood’s partner, Shivani Parihar, who was with him at the time of death, also shared a tribute on social media. “I still can’t believe you’re gone. My heart feels heavy, and everything around me just feels empty. I don’t even know how to process this,” she emotionally penned.” Parihar would share another touching post in December, a few weeks before Anunay Sood’s cause of death was announced.
Sood’s Lifetime and Career Of Content Creation
Anunay Sood was one of the most followed Indian travel influencers. He boasted more than 1.4 million Instagram followers and over 380,000 YouTube subscribers. His content included breathtaking visuals, storytelling, and travel insights, which earned him appearances on the Forbes India Top 100 Digital Stars list, per Mint.
He co-founded Meta Social and worked on major collaborations with luxury brands and tourism boards. After his demise, his body was later repatriated to India, where friends and followers gathered to pay their respects. Anunay Sood is survived by two sisters, who also reside in Dubai.
