Is Las Vegas Affordable to Visit? Here’s What the Data Says

Las Vegas is a top travel destination for millions of people each year, but is Sin City still an affordable place to visit? The results are in.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority conducts an annual survey of visitors to the Las Vegas Valley, and in its 2023 report, the city received some good news.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, visitors and tourists still consider as an affordable destination compared to other locales that they would want to visit.

The report also indicates that visitors to Las Vegas are spending more money in general, and gambling record amounts each year, despite the fact that locals are becoming fed up with having to pay for things that they didn’t in the past.

As another piece of good news for the best resorts in Las Vegas, the majority of visitors in 2023 were happy with their trips to the city. Many of those who responded also said that Las Vegas, in addition to being affordable, exceeded their expectations.

Nearly nine in 10 people, or 87%, who visited Las Vegas said they were “very satisfied” with their trips. That’s actually a year-over-year increase from 2022, when 77% of respondents said they were very satisfied.

Only 2% of visitors to Las Vegas said they were dissatisfied with their trips, while 11% said that they “somewhat satisfied” with their Sin City vacation.

The report also gleaned a few other details about Las Vegas tourists. For one, they’re not younger than they’ve historically been, and are more diverse than ever. Additionally, they appear to be spending more on shopping, lodging, food, entertainment, and gambling when they visit.
