A Big Beautiful Block Party, a new music festival from the minds behind Life is Beautiful, is coming to Las Vegas.
The new festival is an offshoot from the typical Life is Beautiful festival, but presented in a more down-to-earth fashion. According to the organizers, the new festival is more intimate, more affordable, and features no overlapping sets.
Scheduled for Sept. 27 through Sept. 28 on the Plaza property, the block party — true to its name — will be taking over downtown Las Vegas later this summer.
While the set and setting might be smaller, the lineup still features some of the biggest names in electronic dance and indie music, including:
- Justice
- LCD Soundsystem
- Jungle
- Peggy Gou
- Jamie XX
- James Blake
- Thundercat
- Toro y Moi
- BADBADNOTGOOD
- Neil Frances
The festival runs from 5 p.m. through 2 a.m. each night — so expect a nonstop dance party well into the small hours of the morning each day. Tickets for both days start at the more-affordable price of $199.
As far as why Life is Beautiful is presenting A Big Beautiful Block Party instead of its normal festival, the organizers cite a number of reasons that made it clear they should “hit pause” on the normal festival. As a reminder, Life is Beautiful first debuted in Las Vegas in 2013, and has been held annually except for this year.
