MLB Draftees Celebrate Taking On Las Vegas

Las Vegas remains the place for any occasion, and everyone can get the ultimate star treatment. Circa Las Vegas, located on Fremont Street, has become a high-traffic spot that more and more guests are gravitating towards for just that reason. From musicians to movie stars, and with the growing popularity of professional sports here, athletes seem to be in town more often these days.

Recently, ahead of the MLB Draft, All-American and lead first baseman from the University of Tennessee, Andrew Fischer, chose Barry’s Downtown Prime at Circa to celebrate a soon-to-be life-changing event, as well as his birthday. How exciting to not only get to declare for the MLB Draft and be lucky to be projected in the first round, but to share this experience with your best friend. Arriving in a Circa limo, Fischer was accompanied by Ole Miss infielder Luke Hill and their families and friends.

If you have been to Barry’s or been lucky enough to meet him in person, you know the experience there is unmatched. Chef Barry himself welcomed Fischer and his party in a semi-private room, and we heard their meal was unforgettable. If the dishes were not enough, Fischer was surprised with a banana cream pie dessert with congratulations written in chocolate for the upcoming MLB draft, and Barry’s famous Oreo ice cream cake to celebrate his birthday.

To wind down after dinner, the guys met up at Vegas Vickie’s with Circa Resorts CEO/Owner Derek Stevens, talking about all things college baseball. Of course, no star treatment is complete without getting a property tour by Circa Executive Richard Wilk. He showed Andrew and Luke, as well as Brian Fischer, and his grandfather and uncle, everything. While the views from Stadium Swim and the world’s largest sports book are breathtaking every single time, the best part of the tour always concludes at the Legacy Club up on the roof. The panoramic views are enough to make any night feel magical.

It is never easy to make a decision that has the potential to change your life completely, but Andrew and Luke have had their hearts set on playing professional baseball all along and have been doing what they have had to do to get to this moment. One that most athletes only dream of. In just this last season at Tennessee, Andrew started in all 65 games and helped his team by leading the SEC in home Runs. Tuning in for the draft and watching Andrew get selected as the first round, 20th pick for the Milwaukee Brewers, and Luke get chosen in the 4th round by the Cleveland Guardians were such sweet moments to watch. Can’t wait to watch them take the field at the next level.
