“Pawn Stars” star Corey Harrison revealed he suffered multiple rib fractures in a serious accident and will miss his father Rick Harrison’s wedding.
The TV star announced this health update, making a heartfelt update from his hospital bed. Harrison’s announcement came after fans sent support following his social media posts about his injury.
Corey Harrison’s Accident Confined Him To A Hospital Bed
The reality TV personality had his followers worried as he revealed details of his multiple injuries. Corey Harrison made it known that the serious bruises and cuts he sustained were from a scary motorcycle accident. In an Instagram post on Monday, January 26, the TV star shared how much he was affected.
“Pretty messed up, but I’m good,” Harrison captioned his post, noting that protective crash bars on the bike helped mitigate worse harm. He added that he plans to explain the details of the accident in a future episode of “The Corey Harrison Show.” This is a series he uses to update fans on his life and projects.
According to his post, Harrison spent three nights in a hospital bed and showed off X-rays of the extensive damage. He also seized the moment to inform his father, Rick Harrison, about his impending absence at the star’s wedding. The 42-year-old penned, “Crash bars are awesome, 3 nights in the hospital, 11 breaks in my rib cage. Will do an episode on @theCoreHarrisonshow. Sorry, Pops, it looks like I’m missing your wedding.”
Road To Recovery
The life update post included three pictures of Corey at the hospital. The first snapshot was an upclose selfie of his face filled with bruises, while the next slide showed a full image of him on the hospital bed. The Discovery Channel star had bandages on both hands as he lay shirtless.
However, his countenance showed that the worst was over as he managed to raise two thumbs up and a little smile. The last photo showed the X-ray results of his rib cage and other vital areas. Red arrows pointed at the areas of cracked bones, showing the extent of his injuries.
Fans in the comment section showed support by wishing him well and sending their love. Some followers advised him to focus on getting better rather than worrying about the wedding. Per PEOPLE, a representative for the family confirmed that Corey Harrison would not be in attendance at his father’s forthcoming wedding as he continues to recover from his accident. They also shared that he would be “on bed rest for six weeks while he heals.”
Rick’s Upcoming Wedding
Three days into the new year, the “Pawn Stars” lead announced that he was officially married to Agripina “Angie” Polushkin. The ceremony took place at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas with an Elvis Presley impersonator officiating. The event was followed by a reception at Rick’s restaurant.
In a statement, the Gold & Silver Pawn shop owner gushed about starting a new life with his wife. The TV star described his love life with Angie as an adventure, adding that there would be a second ceremony later in the month. While the couple is currently gearing up for the second event, Corey Harrison will take time to recover from his bike accident.
